MPRCF has introduced a group page that is available to any Facebook member to view and post: events, photos, videos, announcements, comments, items for sale, etc. This is one more place where you can keep up with all things MPRCF. Middle Point R/C Flyers are a group of model aviation enthusiasts flying radio-controlled airplanes, gliders, and helicopters in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We are located approximately 25 miles southeast of Nashville. Anyone with an interest in radio-control aircraft is invited to visit.
We hold many events throughout the year; several that benefit the Toys for Tots charity. We host a Swap Meet during March, an Electric Jet Fly-In & Night Fly during May, a Giant Scale Fly-In during August, and other events. The Swap Meet is a great event to buy, sell, or trade model aviation related items.
We have approximately 100 members on average throughout the calendar year and as a Gold Leader Club, there is no restriction on the number of AMA members that we can have.
We are very proud of our facility, and through the generosity of Allied Waste, we have a 350’ x 50’ paved runway with an adjoining grass strip. We also have a shelter with storage area, and bleachers for spectators. We fly everything from gliders, helicopters, and small electrics, to giant scale up to 40%. You will also see some of the best examples of warbirds that any club has to offer.
AMA Open Class Membership is required to fly at our field. This provides a level of insurance protection for our members. Also, all members new to R/C flying are required to take a flight training course (no charge) with one of our flight instructors. See the Safety/Training page for further information.
