Middle Point R/C Flyers are a group of model aviation enthusiasts flying anything radio-controlled: airplanes, multi-rotors (drones), gliders and helicopters in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. On February 1, 2019, the club instituted an electric only requirement for all aircraft.
Our field is located north of Murfreesboro in the Walter Hill area. See the Location page for more
information. We have a 260’ x 30’ fabric runway and a 500' grass runway. The fabric is an ideal runway material for all electric aircraft, especially small-wheeled aircraft and ducted-fan
jets.
We hold several events throughout the year that benefit charities as well as events for the benefit of the club. Current events include the Eskimo Fly-In in January, a Swap Meet in March, an Electric Fly-In in April, and a Soaring
Fly-In in September.
AMA Membership is required to join the club. This provides a
level of insurance protection for our members and our flying site owner. Members new to R/C flying can take advantage of our flight training course (no charge) with one of our flight
instructors. See the Safety/Training page for further information. Our club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month.
See our Calendar page for meeting time and location.
We hold special events throughout the year that can be referenced on our Communications page and the Calendar page
of our website. Be sure to check back often for upcoming events.
MPRCF is a member of the Middle Tennessee R/C Clubs Association (MTRCCA), an AMA chartered
organization consisting of clubs in the Middle TN area that exists to promote fellowship among members of the different clubs; to pool resources to achieve larger events while sharing the workload;
and to raise money for each club that participates in MTRCCA.
Our Photo Gallery has pictures of previous events and members' models.
